Welcome to Murieston Community Garden, which we are developing in Murieston, Livingston, West Lothian, for use by local residents and visitors. The garden has raised beds to allow people to grow vegetables, and eventually will have a beautiful relaxing public area with diverse planting and a sensory garden with seating, open at all times for everyone to enjoy.
In 2021, we gained the use of a plot of land close to Livingston South Railway Station and were donated sleepers to use for raised beds. We have now built 11 raised beds but much of the garden still needs to be built before it can be used. All of this will take some time and will need help from the community. You can help in a few ways:
- Follow and share updates on our public Facebook page: Murieston Community Garden
- Come and help with our volunteering sessions – new volunteers are always welcome
- Donate to our funds
Funding awards from The Levenseat Trust, The National Lottery Community Fund, Edinburgh Airport Community Fund, Longhill Burn Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund, Forth Rivers Trust and Murieston Initiative are helping make the front garden a reality. We are very grateful for their support. Work on the front garden starts on 6th May 2024.
